Who We Are, and What We Will Become
For nearly two decades, we have cultivated grapes across our family-owned vineyards, tending 2,000–3,000 vines and honing our craft as dedicated amateur winemakers. What began as a labor of love—and at times a monumental hobby—has steadily grown into a long-envisioned dream. While we never produced enough fruit to sustain a full winery on our own, nor wished to convert our home into a tasting space, we remained committed to creating something distinctive for our community that reflects our philosophy and passion for wine.
Our partnership with the historic CIRCA 1898 restaurant has provided the perfect opportunity to bring that vision to life. As we evolve into an independent licensed winery, we will move through several seasons of growth and transformation. Because grapes are harvested only in late summer and early fall, and wine requires 9–16 months or more to mature, we are collaborating with trusted grape-growing partners in Pennsylvania and beyond. During this transition and licensing process, we will have CIRCA 1898 use our branding and their liquor license to feature unique and thoughtfully selected Pennsylvania wines alongside our specialty offerings and curated food pairings. In the coming seasons, our goal is to bring most of our production in-house and expand our tasting experiences facilitated through Circa 1898 into full winery services to showcase the wines we are proud to craft.

Craig and April - Owners
Maintaining vineyards and making wine isn't our day-job (at least not just yet!). But we've used our decades of professional experiences, seemingly endless education, and our constant adventures to complement our ever-evolving business plans to help create our vision of what we want Mahoning Valley Vineyards to be. We want everyone to enjoy the experience with us!
